THE STORY
This Washington, DC wedding was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and bold, moody design. One groom leaned toward a classic, tailored look while the other envisioned a gothic, glam aesthetic—and together, the design seamlessly married both styles. Gold accents, candlelit settings, and refined tablescapes were layered with rich black velvets and lush tropical foliage to create a sophisticated yet dramatic atmosphere.
Personalization was central to the celebration. A’s Syrian heritage was honored with a traditional Zaffe entrance and Dabke performance—brought to life by an all-female ensemble in line with the mission of their venue, the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Witty, personality-filled details included sharp, playful signage inspired by J’s love of the Real Housewives and cocktail napkins printed with excerpts from the couple’s Hinge dating profiles. Escort cards were crafted from vintage postcards, with each table named after a National Park the couple had visited together. To finish the evening, guests enjoyed both a mochi cart in honor of J’s favorite dessert and traditional Syrian pastries as a nod to A’s heritage.
